How To Speed Up Your Computers Speed In Just A Few Simple Steps

 Option #1 Defrag: After a while of use your computer will slowly decrease in speed so there is a tool built in to windows that allows you to speed up your computer as it was when you first got it, so click on your start orb at the bottom left corner of your screen->All Programs->Scroll down to accessories,click it->System Tools->Disk Defragmenter then click it. So when you open it just click defrag also this process may take quite some time depending on your computers age minimum time 5mins, maximum time 4 hours, it is also recommended that you dont use your computer while it is defraging so when its done make sure to reboot and you should notice a startup difference, its ok if you dont though.


Option #2 Clean Up: This is a 3rd party program but it does amazing not only does it speed your computer up but it also frees up space on your hardrive. Go here and download it: please click on this download link!
Once you download it just install it like you do to any program after you're done installing go to your desktop and simply launch the application. Once you do that click clean and it will remove all those junk files from your computer(Dont worry it wont remove any personal files just web browser files not including bookmarks,etc.).
Also if you want you can click the "Registry" tab and scan for issues then fix them this will also speed up your computer slightly.


Option #3 Stupid Programs: If you ever had a program you've had and disliked it and just recycled it in the bin its not completely gone to remove programs click on the orb then search remove programs and when you open it you can uninstall any program you want!


Option #4 Background Programs: Some users may not notice but there are programs running on your computer that you may not be aware of, look at the bottom left corner as you can see you can identify small icons that are running in the background to close out of them just simply right click and click close. WARNING: IF YOU HAVE A PROGRAM SUCH AS WORD, EXCELL OPEN DON'T CLOSE OUT OF THEM UNLESS YOUR USING THEM, BECAUSE YOUR WORK IS STILL OPEN!


Option #5 Reboot: Sometimes there are other hidden background programs so just simply one reboot could possibly speed your computer up.


Option #6 Reformat: Only use this if your computer is dead slow ask your manufacturer about this or search on google how to reformat. What this does is it erases your whole hard drive so it will be like how you just bought it with really nothing on it so i would suggest you back up everything on a separate flash drive or external hard drive, but this can improve your computers speed significantly!
